Lord y'all

Cheyenne Frontier Days isn't called the Daddy of them All for nothing.

The rodeo arena is gigantic, and the rodeo itself has three sections of most all events every day. Three section of all of the rough stock events, y'all. That was happy making. We got to see Beau Le Doux, and it was a little creepy but cool, because he scattered some of his daddy's ashes in the arena. They were fixing to make a big deal out of it, but they stopped, and we ended up reading about it in the paper the next day.

The PBR challenger event was like a who's who. Chris Shivers, Greg Potter, Guilherme Marchi, Paolo Crimber, Brian Canter and JB Mauney were just a few of the guys who showed up. Clayton Williams won the event. Cord McCoy was there, making S all squeaky, and we had Flint as our barrelman, which gave us both joy.

The fair was neat, with lots of good fried stuff and lots of shopping, and we had fun in downtown, wandering and getting S's hat signed by some of the boys.

All in all, it's one I would so go back to and do again ;)

PBR Challenger event - Wimberley

Went to Wimberley TX on Saturday for the VFW Rodeo PBR Challenger event.

The weather stayed good, we ate at the Salt Lick before we went, and we had a great bunch of riders to watch. Cord McCoy was there, along witrh Guilherme Marchi and Gerardo Venagas, who I haven't seen enough of this year!

We got to see James the pick up man, who we adore, and there were some great rides.

McKennon Wimberly won the event, edging out Guilherme by a nose.

Man, it was fun, and we even got IHOP out of the deal...
